Hello!
“I’m Leslie. As a mom and a physical therapist, I understand how important it is to feel supported. My approach combines clinical care with compassion, play, and trust, so you or your child can move confidently again.”
My Why
My passion for working with children and families is deeply personal. I grew up with my twin brother, who had a metabolic disorder, and witnessing his journey had a profound impact on my life. From an early age, I saw firsthand the challenges families face when navigating disability, which ultimately shaped my decision to pursue a career in pediatric physical therapy.
Education & Training
I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 2011 and received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2014. I began my career in an outpatient pediatric clinic, where I gained hands-on experience working with children and young adults with neuromuscular and developmental conditions.
Experience & Certifications
I am a certified Basic DIR/Floortime® Provider and a certified CureDuchenne Therapist. I have experience treating children with:
Torticollis
Autism spectrum disorder
Cerebral palsy
Developmental delay
Developmental coordination disorder
Sensory processing disorder
Various genetic conditions
My Approach
My approach is centered on meeting each child where they are and supporting functional movement, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. I value building trusting relationships with families and creating care plans that feel supportive, realistic, and empowering.
Beyond the Clinic
I am also a mom to two young and active boys. Being both a therapist and a parent allows me to deeply understand the importance of family-centered care. Outside of work, I enjoy group exercise classes and spending quality time with my husband on date nights.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you work with?
I work with infants, children, and young adults. My services are tailored to meet each child where they are developmentally and to support functional movement in everyday life.
Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?
Referral requirements can vary depending on your insurance plan. I’m happy to help guide you through that process and answer questions about what is needed to get started.
What conditions do you treat?
I have experience working with children with a wide range of diagnoses, including torticollis, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, and various genetic conditions. Each child’s care plan is individualized based on their needs and goals.
What does a physical therapy session look like?
Sessions are play-based, engaging, and child-led whenever possible. Therapy may include movement activities, games, and functional tasks designed to support strength, balance, coordination, and confidence, all in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Do parents or caregivers stay during sessions?
Yes. Family involvement is an important part of therapy. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and learn strategies they can continue using at home.
How long is each session?
Session length may vary depending on the child’s needs, but most sessions are approximately 60 minutes. This can be discussed during the initial evaluation.
How often will my child need therapy?
The frequency of therapy is individualized and based on your child’s goals, needs, and progress. This will be discussed after the initial evaluation and adjusted as needed.
What should my child wear to therapy?
Please wear clothing that is easy to be active in. I want your child to be comfortable and be ready to move his or her body.
